 The Firm is seeking a bookkeeper looking for a long-term opportunity to grow with the business.  Ability to multi-task, organizational skills, and ability to work well with coworkers and clients is required.  Public accounting experience a plus.  

Job responsibilities:

     Write up work-enter information from client documents and bank/credit card statements into QuickBooks & reconcile within the 

     Make journal entries to record/adjust transactions for which the client entries are incorrect, or the transactions are not listed

          on the bank statements (accruals, separating principal and interest in loan payments, recording depreciation, etc.)
     Process payroll, process payroll tax payments, do all required payroll related reporting
     Process sales, liquor, and hotel occupancy tax returns
     Process client information in connection with preparation of annual 1099’s
     Prepare annual property tax renditions
     Assist tax preparers with bookkeeping related components of tax returns
     Be a backup for the front desk position
     Assist with special projects
     Various other support services to ensure client & regulatory expectations are met

Job requirements:

     Ability to learn quickly and retain information

     Ability to sit for long periods –Ability to use computer for long periods
     Ability to move around office regularly, retrieve information from attic/storage
     Possess a valid Driver’s license/vehicle for making mail runs, bank deposits, and other errands
     Agree to, and sign, Confidentiality and Non-Solicitation Agreement
     Willingness to have a background check performed prior to hiring
     As a “face of the Firm” the job requires a professional attitude and appearance, as well as the ability to maintain a pleasant

          disposition with clients & coworkers during stressful times
     Agree to, and follow, Office Policies
     Strong organizational skills
